An Evening to Celebrate Our Growers
Each November, the Grower Relations team at Nichols Farms rolls out the green carpet for our amazing growers with a special evening at the iconic Vintage Press restaurant in Visalia. Our incredible pistachio growers trust us to process their harvests and transform them into the most delicious snacks. To us, this isn’t just another dinner—it’s a celebration of the dedication, expertise, and patience our growers pour into pistachio farming all year long. Without their hard work and passion, Nichols Farms simply wouldn’t be the success story it is today. So, as a heartfelt thank you, we bring everyone together for a night filled with laughter, delicious food, and a culinary adventure.
The evening kicks off in style with a lively cocktail hour. It’s the perfect time for growers to swap stories, connect with our Grower Relations team, and enjoy a signature drink crafted just for the occasion. This year, we served up a Rosemary Maple Bourbon Sour featuring Sabbatical’s Blended Whiskey—a nod to the grower gift of the night, which was a beautiful herb stripper crafted by a local woodworker out of pistachio wood.
Once the glasses were raised, Chef David from The Vintage Press led the charge, guiding our growers through a culinary journey that highlighted the very pistachios they so carefully cultivate. Chef David shared his wisdom with the group: everything is better when you double the butter and double the pistachios. From savory appetizers to decadent desserts, the menu was a masterpiece. Think roasted pumpkins, tender Beef Wellington, crispy fingerling potatoes, and green beans tossed with pancetta. And for the grand finale? An exquisite pistachio chocolate tart served with a scoop of espresso ice cream. It wasn’t just a meal—it was an experience.
